      Should be easy to implement -- they're pretty much all made in the same factory.

Two separate buds have told me that their choice of laptop was heavily biased by the fact that they have their old laptop's charger from the same company, which can act as a spare/travelling charger. And I'm not going to admit that I did the same, myself.  Nope, I'm really not. That kind of soft lock-in is worth tens of millions to laptop producers; they ain't gonna give it up easily.

                  I always have two chargers for my laptops. That way, I can keep one in the laptop bag, and not have to keep unplugging the one at home.
