    Phys.org[^]:

Aliens on nearby stars could detect Earth through radio signals leaked from the planet, new research suggests.

At least they'll finally know the answer to, "is there intelligent life out there?"

    Yup, their answer is 'no'

As long as it is radio signals... If they get TV signals, that will be our direct sentence of extermination.

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

In a word - meh. We can, or soon will be able to, detect oxygen in the atmosphere of a planet 6 light-years away. Given that free oxygen is highly reactive and would therefore oxidize rocks in short order, it is good evidence of the presence of our kind of life. As for detecting intelligent life, I would say that the 90%+ of the Internet that is cat videos, "influencer" videos, p0rn, or spam argues against their being any intelligent life on Earth.

That's pre-supposing that they have no way to move faster than light. And even we already have some theories that would give alternatives to that.
