In my mind, the absolute BEST screen recorder (free or not... but, this app is FREE), is 'ShareX' (getSharex.com) In addition to have a superior screenshot tool - with a myriad of annotating tools - it comes with a built-in animated GIF maker, a local screen recorder, and pre-formatted, customizable design/format templates. There's too much to mention and this doesn't give it justice. If anyone is looking for a single product that bundles the best screenshot tool, Animated GIF tool, a screen recorder, with special 'Image Effects', watermarks & logo inserts, maintained by an awesome engineer/developer who *actively* updates the tool (as of: 2024-MAY), which is generously offered for FREE... then look at ShareX and support this amazing tool. You will be very glad you did, and I can't imagine anyone finding a more complete tool - free or paid.
