Currently this article is in moderation. What is the Purpose of the “Transient” Keyword... By User https://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/View.aspx?mid=16334281 Trần_Tuấn_Anh User has added a link to his blog at the end. To me that means a site driving attempt. Though I see others approve of the article. My question is, how do I make that call? Whether to approve or report in such cases? Thanks.

blogs get a link at the end automatically when they are imported by CP. Do you mean that?

In this case you have two links at the end. 1) To the "next entry" in the blog added by the Author 2) The one to the current blog entry added automatically when imported This situation is always a bit tricky. The authors write in their blog, so linking to other articles in their own blog is logical and usual. We should close an eye and let it through if it is not abused. This concrete article contains only the #1 link, which in my opinion is still under the "not abused" opinion. @sean-ewington would you mind to confirm or to correct this?

Yea in this case it seems pretty harmless. I think this is actually a situation where the author is new, and he doesn't know that the link back to the original source is automatically put at the end of the post. So he's essentially sharing the same link twice in a row. None of his blog entries come through properly formatted or with a thumbnail so I've been editing them manually, and will just start taking the second, redundant link out.

            Thanks, Sean Ewington CodeProject

I do not think so. The first link is for me not to the own source, I think it is to a "do you want to know more" second entry...

I checked three articles. It was the same link all three times. In any case, I removed them all.

                Thanks, Sean Ewington CodeProject

Then... yes, totally idiotic to write in the blog a link to the very same entry. But hey, the Q&A still wins...   :sigh: And if it got edited and added here... then I would start thinking on an attempt of site driving.

Looks like the guy is not a good learner... 4th one: How to leverage Spring Boot for building microservices?[^] Same situation. It might neeed a wipe of spam reports if you consider it to stay.

I haven't even talked to the guy yet. He's OK for now. I'll get around to him as soon as I can.

I am thinking it to be deliberate. Take this blog for example, Methods to Differentiate Between Inheritance and Composition in Object-Oriented Programming[^] The last part is left out and a link to their blog is added instead. I reported it as spam.
