Why does my postings keep being logged as "Unconfirmed/Anonymous"? I'm logged in using cookies, and I have access to change my settings etc., so I don't see why there should be anything unconfirmed/anonymous stuff?? Mads

If you're using IE, try putting CodeProject into your Trusted Sites zone. I've noticed that IE sometimes changes its settings without human intervention, and this seems to solve the problem nicely. There are times when this still happens, but that's very rare, and only when CP (or my Internet connection) is having problems.

I'm using IE 6.0, but adding CodeProjec to trusted sites didn't work. I'm still anonymous... Thanks for your reply.

Or might it be because I use to different e-mail addresses? One for receiving the newsletter and one for discussion notifications. Is it possible for others to see the e-mail address I use for discussion notifications? Mads

I found out - it was because I have been using an e-mail address for discussions notications that is different from the one set in "My Settings". Now, everything is working. Mads

It could be related to the email address you use. If I recall correctly, the email address you used when you signed up is your user name here. If you are now using a different address, the site won't recognize you as a registered member. I'm not sure how having two addresses affects the behavior. The email you use for discussion notifications, btw, is not visible in the forums, but it does appear in the email notification another user receives when you reply to a post. That let's members communicate directly without exposing our users to bots searching the web for addresses to spam. Why not write up this problem using the "Forum problems or suggestions?" link in the upper right of the page. Everything there is sent directly to Chris, and I'm sure he can sort this out for you in a jiffy.
