It's quite incredible what people will believe when told "numerous scholars have proof", etc. Name one, give me a contact number! Seriously, I'm too lazy this morning to read the whole thing (off on holiday tomorrow) but had a brief look around the site. 2000 years is really not that long. Both Jews and Muslims agree on the position of Jerusalem. Yet this site is determined to prove through wierd and wonderful techniques (the stars, etc) that Jerusalem was in fact geographically situated where Istanbul is today. Turkey has its own history, I would imagine this site is not only insulting to the people it's trying to hurt, but to places like Turkey as well who are being brought into the argument. Hmmm... I seem to be in waffle mode.... Looking forward to seeing further responses to that strange site which seems determined to spread hatred. [edit]NTL has info at the bottom of it's home page with things which happened "on this day". Today it has this as one of the items: "Julius Ceasar lands in Deal, Kent, launching the first Roman invasion of England 55 BC". Now if they can tell that down to the day it seems pretty unlikely that Jerusalem was located on a different continent. [/edit]

If Jerusalem is really Istanbul, that would certainly solve a lot of Middle East problems (while making a lot of people look pretty stupid in the process).

What a huge collection of BS! I suppose they never heard about dating with Carbon 14. Unless they're negating Physics too? Just an example of these BS, on the article "CIVILIZING EVENTS AND CHRONOLOGY": "No self-portrait was known until Leonardo da Vinci". This self portrait is dated from 1512. Albrecht Dürer realized his first self portrait in 1484. Jean Fouquet made one in 1450. The armenian artist Sargis Pitsak made one during the 14th century (cf www.matenadaran.am/en/heritage/miniature.html). It seems History doesn't fit their conviction, so they're rewritting it. Sadly a common policy, called Revisionism.
