Hello, I am trying to automate a task through the reading of a subject line in Microsoft Outlook. A certain subject line would trigger the running of another program, in this case, VisBuild. Does anyone know how I could go about to do this, using either Visual Basic or Visual C++? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Melissa

Hello Melissa, I am sure that there is a programatic interface to do what you want, however I have to ask if you have considered using the built-in Outlook Rules Wizard. You can "Start an Application" based on specific words that exist on your subject line. This may satisfy your needs depending on your version of Outlook and whether you want this to be a client or server side rule. Hth ~Cliff
