This morning I went to go to my son's school's bake sale to pick up goodies for my work. They told me that they had to discontinue them because the state (California) sent them a letter saying that they could only sell prepackaged stuff. Most of the stuff they sell is homemade, ie brownies, cookies, cupcakes. I guess homemade stuff does not have enough preservatives in it or something. This is a very sad day. I've been looking forward to the bake sale goodies for 3 months now (school is closed during the summer). The stuff they had was 100 times better than anything you can find in the stores and I don't cook so I am completely cut off. I'm switching political parities. The Republicans are right the government needs to butt out. What are they afraid of? Only parents of the children that attend the school donate to the bake sale. If they add arsenic to the cookies they would be easily traceable. Cupcakeless

I think this is a worldwide epedemic, where politicians have run out of things to say and do. Then in desperation they grasp hold of dangerous situations like PsychoMom poisoning kids in Bake Sales. I think they need to go further, kids should not be able to bring their lunch from home. Can't trust those Moms. All school canteens should be manned by FBI agents to ensure that all foods are safe. :-D Michael Martin Pegasystems Pty Ltd Australia martm@pegasystems.com +61 413-004-018 "Don't belong. Never join. Do what I did - move out of California. California - Paid $6000 in state income tax in 1999 Texas - Paid $0 in state income tax in 2000 California - Paid $550 for 2000 F-150 registration in 1999 Texas - Paid $50 for 2000 F-150 registration in 2000 Just a couple examples of why it's a good idea to move... anywhere.

You forgot one thing: California - Smoking prohibited in all buildings. Any other state - Good luck finding a non-smoking establishment. That alone is enough to keep me in CA, since the merest whiff of smoke makes me sick, let alone having to worry about the smell transferring to my clothes, and then to my car. --Mike-- http://home.inreach.com/mdunn/  your :bob: with :vegemite: and

wait till you kiss a girl who has been smoking all night. Then has thought fully endured the horros of smokin! Kissing an ash tray would be more pleasant. Might be a good poll: As a stressed out developer, do you or dont you smoke? regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "We would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible." - Chretien Malesherbes

heh, I've never kissed a smoker. Never will. I don't even hang out with people who smoke because the smell is on their clothes and that makes me ill. --Mike-- http://home.inreach.com/mdunn/  your :bob: with :vegemite: and
