Counting num words in richtext

I have a richtext control, is there a way to count number of words or do I make my own function? I'm not an expert yet, but I play one at work. Yeah and here too.

This will work assuming only one space is between each word:

this.richTextBox1.Text.Trim().Split(" ".ToCharArray()).Length;
