can any one guide me how to start off and how to do it. one of the problem i cannot understand that how can i get a new phone number for each and every customer of mine. these companies are surely using a smart trick about that. One way to find out is to call them up and ask to speak to their technical department. Tell them you are doing research and would like to know, in general, how they do that. I've done it before and it works, if you are honest and can talk to the right person. Sean Winstead

The way that efax (probably) does it is that it has bought a pool of phone numbers that it assigns to every customer that signs up. e.g. if you live in houston's 832 area code then they may have bought up (832) 555-xxxx to (832) 565-xxxx number pool. That's enough to handle 11000 customers from Houston alone. It can be expanded as needed. Ofcourse you may not have the resources (or time) to buy this many telephone numbers so your project might have to take a different approach.
