Hello. Iam intrested in learning network programming in both windows and unix. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on places to look, books to buy, or other things that may not be on this site. If so that would be great thank you for your time. Eric, "Network programming" is a wide subject. For starters you could look at sample code and applications right here at CodeProject in the Internet & Network Programming[^] section. You'll find lots of interesting pieces of code there. As you begin to delve deeper, you might find yourself getting interested in a specific area of network programming. I personally am fascinated by (but know very little about) client-server interactions and internet spiders and crawlers. Have fun! /ravi Let's put "civil" back in "civilization" Home | Articles | Freeware | Music ravib@ravib.com

You should read the books by "Networking Books" by Richard Stevens. It is considered the standard book for learning networking. It is based on UNIX/POSIX, but the principles covered will be same for windows also. ~ Vimal
