Gallup poll shows nearly 2/3 of Baghdad Iraqis say war was worth it

"But they are not convinced that Iraq is better off now - 47 per cent said the country was worse off than before the invasion and 33 per cent said it was better off. " 2/3 of iraqis have faith their destiny will improve in the next five years: it doesn't mean they are welcoming the US occupation. According to the results, a big part of the population is waiting for results before stating an opinion. I've only found comments on this poll. Does anybody have the raw data?
Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed - Dwight D. Eisenhower

Thanks for the info. The second one is interesting, even if it lacks of raw data (the number of people interrogated, for example). The comments are however IMO a little bit enthusiastic.

And remember - Baghdad is part of the Sunni triangle. If the poll sampled people from all parts of the country, that number would likely climb to over 80%. Who are the holdouts? Wealthy Iraqi business people who profited directly, Baathists, terrorists and those unfortunate ferfs over there who have fallen for the anti-US spiel being taught at those madrasas. So all of you wannabe Nobel Peace Prize recipients who scream and whine about the war need to understand that most Iraqis disagree with you. They know firsthand what brutal domination is and they understand that Saddams removal was necessary. Who shall be next?

Song Lyrics "after the rain" by Keimzeit[^] "Ob man es darf oder besser nicht, Steht in der Bibel geschrieben. Dessen ungeachtet hat sie es doch Dann mit dem Schönsten getrieben." (Roughly: What you shall do and what not is written in the bible - Nonetheless she made love to the most beautiful one" ... and, a few lines later, "quarter the one calling her whore with a turkish saber") I'm currently watching a good old friend doing the same thing she ever did - I saw the guy she put her eyes on, and I'm giving them 6 month max. The lyrics of the song I didn't listen to for a long time fit exactly my understanding of what drives her (and man is she driven!) The sig line kind of helps me keep my mouth shut about the things I know to common friends that would not.. appreicate some of the things she does. And I just re-discovered the old songs of that band. Very "image-painting" lyrics, they can say with a dozen words what *good* writers need a whole page for.
