Anyone heard of X Internet?

Hi there, I am doing a technology research paper and i feel that X Internet is something cool. After researching, i notice that actually x internet are rich internet application which macromedia always introduces it! If it is the same thing, it means it is very common right? What you people think x internet? Is x internet the future? Any comments. I want to see whether x internet is worth for indepth research. Thanks. Regards, Chua Wen Ching :p

It has major security problems, and makes searching and linking to content impossible. Executable content has some useful applications, but it won't be "the future".
