I was thinking in terms of offensive military action rather than defense of a home under attack. How can you build a shelter for your family when the only tool you have is a gun? So you're saying you see no philosophical contradiction in people, supposedly campaigning for peace, funding combatants?

I know that you're just making a little joke, but I find it interesting that Eskimos have something like 20 words for 'snow', and yet we don't have an obvious word for 'acting for peace'.

Most of these battles have been fought over the centuries against persectuion for religious or political differences not by soldiers who most of the time were strictly following the orders of the king or rulers of the time and executing or otherwise suppressing the people fighting for these basic rights. pseudonym67 Neural Dot Net Articles 1-11 Start Here Fuzzy Dot Net Articles 1-4 Start Here PathFinder Game Of Life 2 Life Wars

Huh? A group of Italian anti-war militants is raising funds to support the armed Iraqi resistance[^] The organisation's Italian branch says the money will be given to an Iraqi resistance group known as the Iraqi Patriotic Opposition ... the leaders of this group have a long history of association with the Baath party and are now back in Iraq supporting the armed resistance. I wonder if the deaths of 19 Italian soldiers the other day has made them stop and think. ------------------------------------------ The ousted but stubbornly non-dead leader reportedly released an audiotape this weekend, ending by calling on Iraqis to, quote, "resist the occupation in any way you can, from writing on walls, to boycotting, to demonstrating and taking up arms." adding, "you know, pretty much anything I used to kill you for." - The Daily Show

Not a lot different to those Irish Americans who funded the IRA. Let's face it, a minority of the anti-war crowd aren't really anti-war; They are anti-Bush or anti-Blair or anti-Western Democracy. Just like in the 80's CND had communist sympathisers. Another beautiful theory slaughtered by the cheap facts of reality.
