Visual C++ 6.0 and backup files
-
Is there a way of getting Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 (standard edition) to keep backup copies of files when you edit them? This is the only editor I’ve ever used that doesn’t keep backup files :|, unless there’s some option I don’t know about. I would expect such an option to be in Tools->Options->Editor, but it’s not there. :(

Automatic backups for editors truly s*ck since it tends to save exactly the version you don't want... You need to get yourself some kind of version control handling (cvs (free), sourcesafe (commercial MS), clearcase (commercial IBM/Rational). And if the paths that I have followed/have tread against the flow/there is no need for sorrow I am coming home Return, Crüxshadows
