They aren't leftist, hence they are good enough for Mr tsih. -- "We shall crush you down to the point, where there is no coming back, things will happen to you from which you could not recover if you lived a thousand years, a thousand years."

They are dictators that should be removed from power. Let's now return to the real world and discuss their removal without bringing even worse dictator in power? Any constructive ideas? ... ...well, thank you anyway, Tomaz

This was all in the 80's anyways. which begs the question, why are they giving him so much attention? it occured to me that the two iraq allies(britian and america) are the ones to whom this seem to be a big deal.Isn't everyone just a little sick of the WMD noise?given the fact that nothing has materilized uptil now. Libya has admitted they have WMD. We have seen it. Between now and the time the UN inspectors get there Libya could dump it all in a hole in the desert. Would that mean then that it never existed? Because that is what the brainiacs are saying about Saddam's WMD.

But they did. And not just by supporting the regime in the United Nations (of course not by saying "we support regime", but by saying "we are against overthrowing the regime"), but by supporting terrorists and insurgents by vicious anti-american propaganda and self imposed censorship. That's how it really was. The media were full of hysteria, the television shows airing fabricated lies and promoting distorted historical facts. It went so far that France's lumpen proletarian thugs were insulting American and British tourists and Chirac was criticising small Eastern European countries for not "keeping their mouth shut". It was a Goebbels like campaign. It was transparent hatred, intolerance and brainwashing by the left. A new Kristallnacht where the imperialist turbo capitalist neo darwinist American pig was "embodied evil", and the darkest socialist regimes such as Allendes' were defended with epistemological relativism (of course, denied to the leader of the free world, not that it would need one). Europe was really very close to nazional socialism and I think we should discuss this now and not try to hide it under the carpet and pretend that it never happened. Tomaz

Good luck trying to get certain people here from believing the truth. Thy never even acknowledge the fact that French and Russian military advisors were identified fleeing Iraq like rats leaving a sinking ship the day before the bombs started flying.

but with a gazillion spy satellites hanging above these countries which supposedly pick up even "mobile labs" could such large scale hole digging be going on ??..dont u think the inspectors could drive down straight to the Hole as soon as their jets touch down on the tarmac in Tripoli International ??? There are no failures; there are only extended learning opportunities.

I'm not saying they haven't tried to obtain them and perhaps had some success with chemical weapons (not nuclear, though), I am just saying that they are not technically skilled enough to be a really, really big threat.

retZ wrote: could such large scale hole digging be going on ??.. Thats what I think people don't realize. The total amount of all of their WMD could fit in the back of 1 trailer-truck. The amount of equipment needed to dig a hole big enough to dump the truck's contents could be a single backhoe. Only a few people would needed. And no - our spy satelites don't cover every square inch of every enemy nation tracking every truck driving on every road. And a 10 foot deep hole dug in soft sand wouldn't show up on satellite photos after it was filled in. How big do you think 100 tons of mustard gas is? Figure that your standard 55 gallon oil barrel would weigh at least 4500 pounds each (given that mustard gas is 16 times as dense as water - molecular weight of 159 vrs 10). So 100 tons of mustard gas would only fill 50 oil drums. What about 4,000 litres of anthrax? That would fit inside of 20 more barrels. How big does a truck need to be to hold 70 oil drums? Your average trailer truck would hold it easily. How long would take to dig a hole in soft sand with a backhoe large enough to hold 70 barrels? About a half hour to dig, a half hour to roll the barrels into the hold and another half hour to fill in. How long would take to kill the people who did the digging? About 5 seconds. Presto! No WMD!
