I've used ShareIt! for years, and have been happy with them. I first signed up with them when customers were sending me Eurocheques, which I couldn't deal with. My primary registration service, though, is DigiBuy. I still use ShareIt! as a backup and because some customers like to deal with a company that has an office in Europe. Most of my customers now choose online delivery of the setup file, and DigiBuy handles this flawlessly. There's just one item number for my software. Customers go to one page and select a license option and a delivery option. Regardless of whether they choose online delivery or postal delivery, they receive a download link with order confirmation. What I like so much about DigiBuy is that uploading the software and setting options like how soon the link expires is handled completely by me, and the options go into effect immediately. So, when I release a new version I upload it and the next person to order gets it. With ShareIt! there are separate item numbers for all my license options. When I tried to offer online delivery through them, I found that I had to send the setup file to them and they had to install it on their server. They changed things so that customers always got a download link and couldn't select postal delivery. Straightening this out took a while because of the time difference between California and Germany. Apparently doing what I do with DigiBuy isn't possible, you need to set up separate products with separate item numbers to direct the customer to the right order page (for online or postal delivery). I didn't want to deal with this and so use ShareIt! only for customers that want postal delivery. I really like the way DigiBuy handles this sort of thing much better, although they do take a larger cut than ShareIt! does.

Why did you post this in the soapbox? Almost missed it. We've used ShareIT for *many* years and they have been excellent. We did a lot of research at the time and they were the only ones to realy support a global customer base properly.
