                Ah, yes, but that's not the whole story: According to the latest returns filed with the Federal Election Commission, Sen. Kerry of Massachusetts, the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate, raised even more money than President Bush in the first quarter of this year. Kerry raised $54.8 million, more than any presidential candidate has in any three-month period in history. He even outstripped Bush's fabled fundraising by a narrow margin during that time. The president's campaign raised $52.9 million -- a record quarter for him.
