-
i am wondering how to write to a file without sending out a system wide notification that it was written to... this is because i want to modify an RC file pre-build and i dont want VC to tell me that it was modified and ask me to reload it thanks

You'll need to either hack VC to not use file change notifications, or hack the OS with a file system device driver so it doesn't send change notifications. --Mike-- Personal stuff:: Ericahist | Homepage Shareware stuff:: 1ClickPicGrabber | RightClick-Encrypt CP stuff:: CP SearchBar v2.0.2 | C++ Forum FAQ ---- "That probably would've sounded more commanding if I wasn't wearing my yummy sushi pajamas." -- Buffy
