I'll sign if they'll bring back Galactica 80 instead. Perhaps Barry van Dyke will stop make those Diagnosis Murder episodes then :-) Actually Sci-Fi is going to be rather old hat, after the release of LOTR and Harry Potter it'll be magic all the way. Perhaps Glenn Larson can do what he did when he ripped off Star Wars to create Galactica. How about Harry Potter and the Lord of the Philosphers Stone Ring? :-D Michael :-)

Ack! Please, don't mention Harry "pot smoking" Potter in the same sentence as The Lord of The Rings! I might as well throw the *cough* teletubbies *hack* and Gummy Bears in the same show, what a sin! Michael P Butler wrote: Actually Sci-Fi is going to be rather old hat, after the release of LOTR and Harry Potter it'll be magic all the way I like both, sci-fi more though. Remember 2001 is being rescreened and Star Wars Episode II is coming out. Also, in my view, there is a lot more good sci-fi out there than good fantasy. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa Do you Sonork? DEAR FELLOW FANS. I may be a little out of place here but here it goes. I am a fan of many things as I know that you are too but I come here today on behalf of a sci fi show. The new Battlestar Galactica is in danger of getting canceled if we don’t come up with 10.000 people on the Petition. To be honest, I couldn't care less if someone even got their dog or pet rock to sign it, LOL. as long as we can get 10.000 on there. The petition is for the original actors but TPTB now recognize it as a support for Battlestar Galactica. Right now it stands at 9000 and we only have 1 day left. I know that there are those of you that did not care for the show but for those that want to lend a hand to the fans of a show that waited over 23 years to see it brought back, it will only take a minute to sign and all you have to do is put in a valid email. All they will send you is a thanks for signing. With any luck, we will be seeing the show back real soon. I thank you for your time and may you all take care. lol http://www.petitiononline.com/bsg2001a o.w.d

It started out as an okay series, and then they threw that kid and that stupid robot dog into the mix. BSG desreves to die a slow and agonizing death. "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001

It's very good writing, similar to Roald Dahl (James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Witches and many other great books, which were subsequently, turned into movies, too). I have to admit that I was relcutant to read Harry Potter at first, too... My friend lent me the book almost over 3-4 months ago, and I didn't open it until last weekend! But now that I'm done reading the first book, I can't wait to start the next one... it's just very well written. I recommend it if you want a good read, and can't find something out there. Melissa

I really don't mind people raving about Harry Potter, that is fine and I am sure it is the truth, but don't compare it to the LOTR unless it really is up there with it. Thanks for the recommendation, even though I have a list of "books to read" that reaches from here till two years from now. I warned everyone I am a serious book nutter. I will add it on the end though. :) What I find most hilarious about HP is that I have often spied people on the underground who have covered HP with the book cover of another, more "adult" book. Yes, I agree, well written, but of course not as complex as other books. But again, I agree with you, I'm not ashamed of what I read. :) Melissa

I still don't get the whole LOTR thing, when I had time to read a lot I'd take Piers Anthony or Terry Brooks over LOTR any day. However, seeing as this ne wcraze is replacing Pokemon and has a *gasp* book attached to it, I think it's a change for the better. Now if all these misguided, self righteous religious fools would stop parading about it's 'promotion' of 'witch-craft', I might be able to decrease by one the number of misconceptions people will have when I say I am a Christian. Are you sure you don't mean Care Bears, would fit with your My Little Pony fetish :-) I'll agreee, the Smurfs were a tool of Satan. I remember petrol stations giving little models of them away. They were a big collectible item, sort of a Pokemon for the late 70's - early 80s. Michael :-)
