The level upgrade feature of CP is a manually run script. You will have to wait until Chris or one of the other admins runs it before your evel change takes effect. To be a supporter you have to buy a product such a MSDN universal through CP. Look at the homepage for info. You want to have an automatic function that checks 1 million users everyday? :omg:

Ack, I'd forgotten about that. But running that function on something that doesn't change very often..... Anyway, it's up to Chris.

i forgot to say something important ! the actual thing we are talking about is not necessarily a whole script that could be run once a day... it could have been implemented in the Submit function, when you post something. it would just scan for the number of articles (if posting an article) or for the messages (if posting a message) and update you level if necessary.... do you understand me now ?

The upgrade script runs automatically at 3AM EST every day. You get the next level each 500 posts, but you get bronze at the beginning of the first 500, not at the end. A kind of incentive. Thus you need 1000 posts to reach silver. cheers, Chris Maunder Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.

I too thought it was at the 501 post that a person became a silver. Thanks for clarifying that. Hi, I have a question about this. Posting an article, award bronze and posting at least one message adds one extra level, so anybody in his/her first year of membership with one article and at least one message should be silver, isn't it? Then posting another message the second year moves him/her up to gold? Is this right? Could you please clarify it for me. Regards, Fabian
