it's really horrible that this story is getting that important. now, a man, who maybe only reacted on the impulse of catching a foul ball has his name displayed in view of everyone; and basically did nothing wrong.

    >> only reacted on the impulse No. He did more than that. He showed his true colors when given the opportunity to act like a responsible member of the human race once his "impulse" was over. And like many MANY people these days, he "choose" to remain a Jack Ass that goes through life with no consideration of others. He is a devout member of the Nomewe tribe. I was watching the game live too and I was appalled that a grown man would do that. The St. Louis broadcast was on that guy for the rest of inning. Nobody was paying any attention to the game until he left.

he did something stupid, but nothing that warrant his face and his name being placarded everywhere; god, we treat him the same way way criminals are.

This child was endangered by his reckless and callous behavior. I saw the game also. He had no regard for anything but his own selfishness and maintained that attitude. I do not mind getting old. It beats all the other options that can think of.

Yes, he did something stupid, but he certainly isn't a criminal. I'm sure he regrets it now and want's this whole thing to just go away. The only problem is that he still hasn't given the ball back. Shameful.

It is not common for fans to dive over seats to get a ball, Yes reach and grab but not what actaully happened here. Taking your agrument to the next position would say all parents should lose the children if they let them get in a car. Have you ever allowed that. Or let you kids go to school, they may get hurt. Michael Martin wrote: Coverage that makes it down here seems to show everyone nearest the field wearing their glove hoping for a catch and pandemonium (sp?) when a ball come in anyones direction. Typical Anti American presentation I must say. Reaching with a glove is not pandemonium. I do not mind getting old. It beats all the other options that can think of.
