Men, it Pays to be Married I once held the theory that I'd rather be single than in a crummy marriage, but hey, if I'd be richer, that might make up for it. :) An expert is somebody who learns more and more about less and less, until he knows absolutely everything about nothing.

From a NZ statistics source I saw something very similar a while ago. I though it was an anomaly. But this seems to clinch the deal. Regardz Colin J Davies

Hilarious how the study on twins actually ends up proving zip, nada, nothing and zilch. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Christopher Duncan wrote: "I always knew that somewhere deep inside that likable, Save the Whales kinda guy there lurked the heart of a troublemaker..." Men with a higher salary have better chances of getting married.

Even with the twin study, I see plenty of problems coming to the conclusion that the link is casual. Here's a few more possibilities: - Married men (and men with children which is correlated) feel a need to earn more money to support their families and are, therefore, more interested in earning more and climbing the corporate ladder. - Married men spend more time at work (perhaps to avoid the wife and family). And, of course, income is not the full story here. Even if married men EARN 19% more income, that doesn't mean they HAVE 19% more income to spend. My guess is that single men have much more disposable income than married men, even in spite of married men's greater income. ----------------------------------------------------- Bush To Iraqi Militants: 'Please Stop Bringing It On' - The Onion "Moore's prominent presence in the news brings to light some serious questions, such as 'Can't he at least try to look presentable?'" - The Onion
