Who cares, Harrison is a weenie. He needs to work harder. <edit> 8 down 1,306,012 members to go! </edit> :)

If for some odd reason I happen to run into him I'll be sure let him know how you feel :)

Surely you jest! A 1 for not making it clear if you did jest, and for being an unsympathtetic jerk if you didn't. Power corrupts and PowerPoint corrupts absolutely. - Vint Cerf

If his identity was really stolen why do they keep calling him Ween err.. Harrison? Unless, of course, Harrison wasn't his identity to begin with, and so wasn't stolen from him. That would make "Harrison" an identity thief as well. And thus the real Harrison would be at this point unknown to us, and perhaps not a weenie at all. BW The Biggest Loser

That really does suck. It makes me tempted to put a fraud alert on my credit report, just out of paranoia... http://www.fightidentitytheft.com/fraud_numbers.html An expert is somebody who learns more and more about less and less, until he knows absolutely everything about nothing.

The crime is so rampant. I'm paranoid too. I think you can only place a fraud alert on your credit report if you think you're are a victim of identity theft. I'm not sure though. I do know that some states allow you to "lock" access to your credit information for a fee and then if you need to apply for credit you "unlock" for a certain amount of time...and of course that's a fee too. I believe this will be available in all states soon. I'm seriously considering this when it becomes available to me.

Please send me all of your private info. Ok, now you can think you may be a target. Do it! A few years ago you could ask that you be notifed of any new requests to be confirmed by you, at your address if you sent a written request and the address of course. Assuming it matched the current active accounts or some check. Anyway I had been a minor victim about 1990 and there is still a few stores we have problems with. Get my message DO IT! I do not mind getting old. It beats all the other options that can think of.

I think the punishment are in line with society. However they are very hard to catch at times due to stores/credit agencies being rather lax themselves. Personally I would like more responsibility from the credit reporting agencies and an clear path for individuals to challange accounts etc. See how long it takes to remove an account from an institution that has gone out of business (of course the do not confirm the closing!)
