Hate to say this, but if you read the first page of the site, I'd have to agree with every word. Notice my name sez UnixBoy, not LinuxBoy. The gayed up "GNOME" and "KDE" desktop evironments are getting more and more like windows with everyone release. We don't want to make our OS more like windows, we want to make it as different as possible! Unix, however is pretty good shit. ===================== Don't buy into Microsoft! In a matter of a year in a have, they may have access to your machine! Join the Unix/Linux revolution! =====================

You make me sick when your ultimate goal is not the best solution but the solution which is as far from Windows as possible. Windows is not all bad, it has a lot of good and naturally a lot of bad. Just like Linux has. It has good ideas and bad ideas. Things Linux could do well to copy and things Linux should do better. Windows is a great desktop and the UI has really matured and become a worthwhile standard to follow. All I am really saying is that you should rather be finding the best solution instead of trying to be as different from Windows as possible. what I don't understand is why someone with a nick like UnixBoy547 and a similarly suitable anti-MS signature spend so much time browsing/posting on a totally MS-technologies site. Nish Sonork ID 100.9786 voidmain www.busterboy.org If you don't find me on CP, I'll be at Bob's HungOut

Paul - the kid is only 13, and is still probably trying to impress people by responding 13-1/2 when someone pinches his cheek and asks his mommy how old her precious little baby is. He's not old enough to have an opinion, much less an attitude, so don't bother verbally sparring with the little pinhead. I don't know if you did get round to asking him, but I just let him know I'd be willing to this for those of us here that wanted it, with his permission. Let's see how it goes! ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk "I loathe people who keep dogs. Oh yes it is! I run FreeBSD at home for all of my "x86-compatible" Unix needs, and love it! Peronsally, I do find the attitude of many Linux users to be offensive. They seem to think that if it's not Linux, it's not good. I have even witnessed Linux users bashing other Unix varients, such as Solaris, simply because they're not Open Source. The BSD varieties of Unix (FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and NetBSD) have the right idea: The core operating system is free, the license is not restrictive or parasitic. You can base commercial products on their code, without being required to release your source code. So, while I think the name of that web site is a bit over-the-top, I do have to agree with the owner's opinion. -- Paul "I drank... WHAT?"
