    hi you might have noticed in some web sights that there is a sliding toolbar on the left side of the page. when page is scrolled up and down then toolbar is automatically scrolled up and down. i want to implement this functionality. can some body help me in this regard.

        look at the web sight www.iiu.edu.pk and look at the bar on left side. when we open some link, whose size is more than a page.... and when we scroll the page.... bar , automatically, slides up and down.....

          That is done using JavaScript. You can read up on how it is done here. Basically on any scroll event it repositions the element the navigation list is in.
