For being gracious in defeat. For reminding us to put aside the devisions and seek a commmon ground. Why would anyone waste time arguing with an accountant about anything? Their sole function is to record what happenned, and any higher aspirations are mere delusions of grandeur. On the ladder of productive contributions they are the little rubber pads at the bottom that keep the thing from sliding out from under you. - Roger Wright

If there was a strong enough lead for Kerry, probably. Don't see why not.

Yes. But you could stand a little more... Why would anyone waste time arguing with an accountant about anything? No way to know - it was pretty obvious that GW was the winner the second Florida was counted. Besides GW has little history of losing and therefore not as much practice :) Richard "Under certain circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer --Mark Twain (1835 - 1910)

this is so important in a democracy. After an election, the loser should always try to be gracious and the winner magnanimous. Because regardless, we all lose if the system falls apart. Politics is already too bitter, I agree that Kerry did the right thing.
