"Marvin, f---!" Kerry said. The press secretary, David Wade, offered his brush. "I'm not using Wade's brush," the long-faced senator pouted. "Marvin, f---, it's my Time photo shoot." And they say he isn't plain spoken.:) Looking for me in cyberspace? I am the electron with the red hat, occupying 3rd sit on the left of the data bus. by the way, perl stinks. Not trolling here (honestly), but the article doesn't paint a very pretty picture of Kerry as a common man, at least not a common man here where I live.:~ Uptight Ex-Military Republican married to a Commie Lib - How weird is that?

Yeah, but I don't remember him ever being considered a common man. I mean, here's a 20-year Senator, 6'5", Frankensteinish, and married to a gazillionaire. He was everything but common... which is one of the reasons I wanted him to win. ;) Regards, Alvaro

The title was meant to be sarcastic. Looks like comedic subtlety just doesn't work anymore.:) Anyone reading the article would see that he's portrayed as a rather over bearing "Mr Pitt from Sienfeld" (not that personality peculiarity should sway anyone's opinion politicaly). Yup being 6'5" and rich are great reasons for someone to be president. Jeremy Falcon

And, in the case of Kerry, a whiney baby. :) Jeremy Falcon
