I'd put 1 mio into a hedge fund. The other 4 would be diversified into various portfolios including (but not limited to) currency futures, oil futures and stocks. The stock portfolio would be setup using a dynamic hedging strategy - most likely something more exotic than a simple delta hedge. Preferably a butterfly spread. I'd say about 2 mio into the stocks. The agent handling my portfolio would also have strict instructions as to how often and when to make transactions. I would also purchase and hold property in Portugal and perhaps an emerging market like Bulgaria. I think another 1.5 in property would be decent. The remaining 0.5 I'd purchase bonds with.
