Weird. Their new songs aren't half as good as their older stuff. :sigh: -- My name in Katakana is ヨルゲン. My name in German is Jörgen. I blog too now[^]

Nothing beats the original stuff of outstanding bands because it is more pure, imo. I think this album was put together with more of a bigger picture involved (including the Apple crap) for all good reasons though. So I think it is fair to compare to their earlier stuff. I mean come on. They must be doing something great if their tickets are selling like crack rocks. personally, i'd put their peak at The Unforgettable Fire or even Joshua Tree, though those records have definitely suffered from overplay. nothing after that has grabbed me (except the Vertigo single). Image Toolkits | Image Processing | Cleek

The Rolling Stones always sell out and they haven't made a decent record since 1980! The new U2 album is boring. IMHO, they haven't made a decent album since Achtung Baby back in 1991.

I kind of like the new album. i hated Vertigo, but it's grown on me. Which is true for the whole CD. Not that I hated it at first, but the songs get better. As a whole it's not their best, but it's certainly in the better half of their catalog. BW
