All the label says is that this stuff contains chemicals "... known to the State of California to cause cancer in rats and low-income test subjects."

Completely out of order, especialy in the light of this stupidity http://education.guardian.co.uk/faithschools/story/0,13882,1429172,00.html[^] (the uniform was designed by the local muslim community, and she was excluded by an islamic headmistress - her family decided to turn the event into a religeosity competition). It's kind of defeating the meaning of the word "uniform", if it means "the same, except when your community is likely to kick up a fuss". I see no reason why the adolescent whims of individuals should be judged any differently from those of children 'lucky' enough to be part of a cohesive community. Ryan

:omg: Ms Crompton said: "We don't allow any extreme hairstyles of any description at the school. We are a high-achieving school with high standards and we don't allow any street culture into school. "We are very strict on appearance. Wearing a school uniform signals that children are ready and willing to be a part of the school community. We have smart children who work in a purposeful way because that's the ethos of the school. What a bulshit! If that happend to me, I'd be fired from school instantly. Cuz my response would be like "fuck off!" You know, it takes few hours of pain... oh well, maybe not so horror, but definitely not comfortable. It usualy cost some $$, too... I am lucky people allways respected my braids. Czech school system may suck (I am NOT talking about Charles University now), but I am happy that we have no uniforms here! David Never forget: "Stay kul and happy" (I.A.)
