What happens if you are involved in an RTA on the sabbath? Surely they would break rules to treat you?

Its even more difficult to be observant if you are outside the house, unless you have magick string suspended from poles[^]. As far as crazy religeous activity goes, that even beats dancing round a meteorite once a year at the worlds first theme park. Ryan

So I'm considering buying a wall mounted oven and I'm perusing the new models and come across a "Sabbath mode" feature. What the hell is that? I think to myself (being completely non religious, indeed anti religious even): http://www.wordspy.com/words/Sabbathmode.asp[^] Now isn't this a classic example of breaking the spirit of a law by following the word of the law? I admit I think religion of any kind is just plain silly, but if you are going to adhere to it, shouldn't you really adhere to it and not try to trick your way out of it? If I was a dark and vengeful god I sure know I would smite down those that tried to flout my will this way...maybe this is just proof that god doesn't exist? :-D

I ( my family ) used to live next a very nice orthodox jewish family and from time to time, they would, kind of, find a way to , knock on our door and ask us to turn on or off some appliances or lights for them on the Sabbath ...

They could have just purchased the clapper. Clapping is not against any religion. :-D "For that one fraction of a second, you were open to options you would never have considered. Now this is just getting pretty silly. I'm not one to knock anyone's beliefs, but there's a fundamental flaw in anyone's thinking that they can bypass something by letting others do it for them. Now lets see, there are a few people I don't particularly like and would kindly like to see disappear off the face of the planet. Anything I do will be deemed illegal, ...soooo I wonder If someone can do me a favour.... :)

You know as well as I do that you can't apply logic to religion. Especially not religions such as christianity. For you see, they have this smart little axiom, with which they can prove and disprove anything they fancy. The axiom's name is spelled G O D. :) We should actually be jealous of those who use christian logic. They don't suffer from Gödel's incompleteness theorem[^]. :) -- Oneigaishimasu!
