Sounds good. Being from South West Fort Worth, Garland is almost the other side of the world. :) Since Christian is out for the weekend, any chance of a get together Thursday, Say in Grapevine? That is the North DFW Exit and you pass right by getting to 635 to go over to Garland. Also just to be sure, We talking about October 6th. What time is Christians flight scheduled to arrive at? Unless something changed the last few weeks, he is doing both, Driving to Albuquerque and then flying to DFW from there :) "Simplicity is more complicated than you think. But it’s well worth it” (Ron Jeffries)

Hey All, From this this[^] it looks like Christian will be in Garland Texas in a couple of weeks. So, who's up for some drinks and maybe a meal? Hey don't worry, I can handle it. I took something. I can see things no one else can see. Why are you dressed like that? - Jack Burton

Well, here I am in ( not so ) sunny Texas. We're going on a trip over the weekend, but Matt is suggesting that I do the CP get-together for Tuesday lunch. If anyone who is in the area and wants to come let me know if that's feasible for you, and we can work from there.

Christian, Welcome to Texas :) And I will say thanks for bringing the rain with you to the DFW region, my home had more rainfall yesterday than in all of Sept. I would love to make it Tuesday, but will not know if I can until mid Tuesday morning. Lets try to get a location suggested by Sunday night if possible. I am only familuar with the places on the west side of Fort Worth, so not much help, sorry. "Simplicity is more complicated than you think. But it’s well worth it” (Ron Jeffries)

OK, wel I am a babe in the woods here. I'm in San Antonio right now, I saw the Alamo today. I'm ready for any suggestions, anything roughly around lunchtime is fine. Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++

If my memory is correct you are leaving Tuesday, is that correct? If so would a place near the airport be acceptable or do you want something over in the Garland area? I believe Spring Creek has places in both locations. I would welcome a suggestion from one who knows that area better. http://www.springcreekbarbeque.com/[^] "Simplicity is more complicated than you think. But it’s well worth it” (Ron Jeffries)

Well, it does not look like the get together forum is known well enough. So close and yet so far. Garland is just to far away for me to get to today for lunch, I just do not have 4 to 5 hours open, hope you understand. Hopefully you have connected with some others in the area. Have a safe trip back. "Simplicity is more complicated than you think. But it’s well worth it” (Ron Jeffries)

Sorry Christian, I wasn't able to get back with you yester day as I had to make a quick last minute trip to Tempe, AZ. If you can't do lunch, are you available for an early dinner? I probably cant get to Garland for lunch today but I have some time this evening. Cheers Chris Hey don't worry, I can handle it. Damn - that's a real shame. Dinner tonight will be at the airport and will be a wrap up meeting on my visit, so it's probably not the best place for us to meet. I guess the good news is we're already talking about doing this twice a year, so another chance is bound to come along ( and I'll try to be more organised next time ) Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++
