Hello all! I don't know where to start! This is the problem: I have a video file (mpeg) that I wish to send on a tcp/ip network (to do streaming). I wish to do some actions by programmation. Wich site or book may help me on this task ? If you have hints on hardware that can control a security camera (analog) video feed (capturing, starting stopping by programmation), they are welcome! Thanks!

I don't know how far you want to take this, but www.terran.com is the site of *the* streaming media people. You can download "Media Cleaner EZ" demo (unfortunately, there's no direct link to download it. You have to do a site search "Media Cleaner EZ"), just to give you a taste. I don't know how powerful that program is, as I still have yet to use it myself. But it's a good start. From what I know, streaming is all about preparing your media correctly. But I'm new to the subject. O'Reilly Press is, in general, a book source (http://oreilly.com/). Good luck, and have fun! Peace:)
