Urgent help my projects class view has gone and resource view stopped working

    My .dsp file shows this error CFG=Oil - Win32 Debug !MESSAGE This is not a valid makefile. To build this project using NMAKE, !MESSAGE use the Export Makefile command and run !MESSAGE !MESSAGE NMAKE /f "Oil.mak". !MESSAGE !MESSAGE You can specify a configuration when running NMAKE !MESSAGE by defining the macro CFG on the command line. For example: !MESSAGE !MESSAGE NMAKE /f "Oil.mak" CFG="Oil - Win32 Debug" !MESSAGE !MESSAGE Possible choices for configuration are: !MESSAGE !MESSAGE "Oil - Win32 Release" (based on "Win32 (x86) Application") !MESSAGE "Oil - Win32 Debug" (based on "Win32 (x86) Application") !MESSAGE || ART OF LIVING ||

      Shiv Did u try reopening the project ??? It happend with me also my problem was solved by reopening the project?? But make sure u have an extra copy of the foler weher ur project recides. -->could not find solution to ur database problem :cool: Vikas Amin Embin Technology Bombay vikas.amin@embin.com

        It has occred before 15 days also that time I was lucky to have one copy safe but this time all modified versions are showing same error I am gone. Not only that resourse view stopped working. || ART OF LIVING || -- modified at 1:39 Monday 7th November, 2005

          Try creating a new project file and adding the existing source and header files to it. Then try to add the resource files also to the project. ie. resource.h, ***.rc Then try creating a res folder and putting all your icons and rc2 files in there. I hope this will solve your problem. I have done it like this. Nibu thomas. VC++ Developer.

                100s of dlls and 100 s of header file is not possible replacing I have joined before two months and still I dont know how vast is this code || ART OF LIVING ||

                  Try to delete *.ncb, *.opt and *.aps files in your working folder. rebuild your app. this helped me a lot of times.
