hello...i'm thinking about getting MS certified. i wanted to start off with the MCAD and move towards the MCSD after. but with the new certifications i don't know if i should do that. what do you guys think is the best/easiest option? get the old MCAD/MCSD and upgrade to the new certs, or just get new certs from the start?

Take whatever exams you are capable of passing. Get experience with those you are not. The certifications will fall into place naturally.

Old or New, MCSD is the same. Concepts are the same. Based on your application area, means based the skill what is required in your work, choose one of that. I have completed MCAD recently.
