Actually, I was referring to the individual asses that Fox News tries to pass off as journalists, not all of whom are fat. But my statement was ambiguous, so I accept and enjoy your pedantry :).

Bull shit. All the networks, all the major newpapers and all the major web news sites are leading with every negative report they can dredge up. I had CNN on for an hour and heard one 30 second spot on the Iraq elections but plenty of bullshit about how we have been liberated from the patriot act and how Bush 'secretly' spied on Americans. http://www.yahoo.com/[^] http://www.msn.com/[^] http://abcnews.go.com/[^] http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/home/main100.shtml[^] I don't give a shit about Bush one way or another. You won't find a single post where I have defended the man, beyond responding to the most ludicrous propaganda. But enough is enough, you fucking Marxist sons of whores. The election in Iraq is one more step towards Iraqi self governance. Frankly we're watching something historic, if it continues. 1) the toppling of a dictator, 2) creation of a democratic form of government, 3) hand over of the country, giving it back to the citizens. I doubt there is any historic parallel. Mike "We ain't stuck on stupid." badass Lt. And at the cost of only a few lives (well, only a few - 2,154 - of ours, anyway, and those are the only ones that count), and some inventory depletion. And the trust of the rest of the world. And the loss of civil liberties here at home. And a skyrocketing deficit. Oh, and that's a new democratic Muslim government (I guess we've at least stopped that secularism in its tracks, right Stan?). So, with the Iraqis self-governing, we can move on and do the rest of the world now.

At least the left still has a tiny shred of intellectual honesty. The Republican party tries to convince people that they're the religious conservative response to an increasingly liberal and secular America, when they're less conservative in every respect -- but especially fiscally -- and more corrupt than any administration in my memory. Enjoy yours as well.

The best you can come up with is billing records and BJs? On the Republican side, let's start with the draft-dodging, illiterate, inarticulate, bumbling dumb-ass at the top lying us into an unnecessary war, continue with a list of actual, verifiable, not-just-accusations, legally indicted members of his staff, congress, and the rest of the party, and end with the kind of jackass that is *still* fighting the commies. I will give you Ted Kennedy, however. The man is a tribute to riding on name recognition, and an embarrassment to the Democratic party. Also, thank you for providing me, through your stellar comparisons, with a contrast between an oxymoron and a regular moron.

You're right again. But I've been pissed off all day - long before I read the posts here. The media just went ape shit today with anti-Bush reports. True or not, the timeing is far more than merely suspecious. The Times has been setting on its report for a year - and of course no one mentions that the guy who wrote it is coming out with a book on the same topic - there can be no doubt that they held it back to slam Bush given any sufficiently good news with his efforts in Iraq. I imagine they have a long list of items of similar dubious importance, but superficially sensational, waiting to be released as we go into the congressional campaign season. Important elements of the American media are nothing more than a branch of the democrat party, which itself is little more than the US wing of al qaeda. There's the explanation, Stan. It's not a leftist plot, it's an author and his employer pimping a new book.

...how the "non-biased" press starts loading the headlines with all the negative news they can find every time the Bush administration has some success. The big news today should be the successful elections in Iraq. But no, we get some e-mail from that socialist whore bitch Fienstien, and a report on military spending. Fucking treasonous assholes. :sigh: "Patriotism is the first refuge of a patriot."

It's the press, Stan. Their headlines load all the negative news during Bushs long streaks of failure and pathetic monkeying around, why should they change that if Bush holds democratic elections in Iraq?
