Hey guys, As a casual investor in tech stocks (I try not to get into anything I can't understand), I'm considering what my next stock picks might be. I've been watching EarthWeb [EWBX], the company that owns CodeGuru and other sites to see if it might make sense to buy in but I'm coming to the conclusion that the stock is a dog. I'm a bit of a dope when it comes to wireless stocks, but it seems that is where all the hysteria is and to me hysteria = time to buy ;) Anyone have any personal favorites?

I think optical broadband is the wave of the future. They always say, "invest in what you buy" and I don't know to many people that don't want faster internet connections. I recommend JDSU, GBLX, NT, and NOPT! (all deal with broadband

What do you guys think about Starbase (SBAS). They're the guys who bought Codewright, and they seem to be sucking up other companies too? Seems like their strategy is to coordinate teams working on web sites and ecommerce stuff. Their stock seems like a value now, they've got good revenue, profit (I think), and an interesting story

Paul, EWBX (earthweb) is more or less a job site if you look where their revenue is coming from. I'm not too bullish on them. I kind of like RWAV (Roguewave). Their new CEO seems to know what he is doing. Their stock price is way down. And I have a feeling that their next quarter will be half decent. At $6... there doesn't seem like there is a whole lot of downside. I also like NMGC which is selling for less than the cash they have in the bank.
