We're running 2000 Server/IIS 5.0 with all of the latest SPs/hotfixes. Occasionally we get a 404 File Not Found error when the URL pointing to a particular file (e.g. htm, exe, etc...) is quite large. The files do exist and the permissions are fine. This seems to happen when the URL is approx. 90+ characters in length, with the requested resource in a sub-directory nested 3 or 4 folders deep. I know that the URL can be up to 256 characters, and the buffer size allocated for the URL is approx. 2K. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I'm thinking that a particular hotfix/patch has caused this problem. Martin Eising
