North-sea oil, and a small population? The country is richly endowed with natural resources - petroleum, hydropower, fish, forests, and minerals - and is highly dependent on its oil production and international oil prices, with oil and gas accounting for one-third of exports. Only Saudi Arabia and Russia export more oil than Norway[^]

I think the analysis has some merit, but it's probably too early to say for sure that socialism is the mitigating factor of the slower economic growth of European countries. Europeans don't seem to be too upset with the current policy so I'm sure we'll have several more years to collect the hard data. I am of the opinion that socialism doesn't work as well as the agressive capitalist policy the United States adopted. Afterall, the US policy has a proven track record with marvelous success. Time will tell.

How do they calculate the average hr/workday? I average somewhere between 7 and 8 hrs per day during "normal pressure". 9-10 if I'm under heavy pressure. I know few people who work less than 8 hr / day. And for the record; I would never quit my job for welfare. The cost of doing nothing is way too high if you ask me! Besides.. what would I do if I didn't have a job? I'd be utterly bored. -- Denn du bist, was du isst! Und ihr wisst, was es ist! Es ist mein Teil...?

You can say both and be correct. There is not a single word, nor multiple words. Convention is plural though. BW The Biggest Loser
