Just curious to know your favorite tv news progam and why you like it. My favorite - for an year or so - has been "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" on MSNBC. It is informative, witty, informal, (sometimes) funny and with a neat little liberal tilt (suits me hehehe). Don't know how it is doing in the rankings though. There are no failures.. only extended learning opportunities.

It also does more involved discussion and editorial over a small number of important stories, rather than cram everything in in ten minutes Newsnight[^] I also picked up a digital TV box recently, and BBC News 24's interactive service is pretty good (same goes for their interactive Olympic coverage)

Ian Darling The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity ... that such complexity can arise ... out of such simplicity ... is the most fabulous extraordinary idea ... once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened - it's just wonderful ... the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned - Douglas Adams
