    Does anyone know of a file format that: i. can contain text AND shortcuts to arbitrary files ii. can be viewed/edited in the VS6 editor (I'll settle for VS7) thanks, alex

            My VS editor just opens the document pointed to by the link in text mode. If I open a HTML file in the VS editor, I just see the code and I have no other view of it. What I meant is to be able to insert links to documents in the 'text' file and to be able to open the document in its native mode (e.g. a link to a .html file will launch IE, a link to a .doc file will launch Word etc.) alex
