Crystal Report Exception

I am working in Crystal reports 10 in vc++ 6.0. When i click the right mouse button an the empty report viewer it causes an exception. I tried to catch the click and oncontextmenu events of the report viewer activex control but they only work if there is a report in the viewer. How should i handle this exception.
