One example of someone who believed all the propoganda apparantly. Sad to see that someone would take such action over just an election. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6428499/[^] Uptight Ex-Military Republican married to a Commie Lib - How weird is that?

Reading your post made me pretty angry. Doug Goulden wrote: believed all the propoganda apparantly Why do you feel the need to state your political opinions when commenting on this and have a sly dig at a dead man? From what I have read there is no evidence to suggest that he did what he did because of the election other than the suspicion of his supervisor who is probably not qualified or informed eonough to asses his mental state or analyse his possible motives. There is probably a reason his girl friend and family are not quoted. Think about it, think about them It is very sad. My thoughts are with his family and girl friend.

My point was merely that its sad to think that someone would think there life (apparently) was going to be so miserable because one person was elected instead of another. My reaction would have been the same if Kerry had won and somebody who voted Republican had done this. Its a sad and terrible waste.:rose: Josh Gray wrote: Think about it, think about them My point exactly.... the guy hurt them more than they can probably say. Slightly OT but I spoke with my cousin who is 21 and had campaigned fiercely for Kerry. She was commenting on how hard her best freind was taking the loss, the point of my original post in saying propoganda was refering to the rhetoric on both sides of the political spectrum and how people completely lose perspective. Well my father went in similar way a few years ago and I doubt very much if the election was the sole reason or even the main reason for this guys actions. To my way of thinking suicide is not a rational decision, it is the result of mental illness just as a heart attack is often the result of heart disease. To attempt a rational analysis of his motivation is a pointless exercise.

From ground zero your perspective would be diminished severly. :-) Regardz Colin J Davies Attention: It's finally arrived, The worlds first DSP.

My condolences for your loss. Suicide is obviously much worse for those left behind, it makes me angry to see someone who seems to have had so many things to live for to throw it away. I agree with you that people who commit suicide have a much deeper reason, with maybe a single even acting as the "last straw".
