Distributing Fonts
-
Hi all, I don't know if it's legal to distribute Microsoft fonts with my application. I especially need the "Tahoma" font. Is it possible to distribute the font together with the software package as a .ttf file, or perhaps Microsoft has some executable which installs this font, or is it just completely illegal ? Thanks in advance.

I am pretty sure that the Tahoma font is freely redistributable. Microsoft gives it away on their typography site. It is possible to distribut the font as a .ttf file and copy it into the fonts folder and register it with windows by modifying the registry. All of this can be done with a fairly simple install routine. There is probably an even simpler way to do it that I am not even aware of, there usually is. :) Jason Jystad Cito Technologies www.citotech.net >------------------------------------------------< "Luckily," he went on, "you have come to exactly the right place with your interesting problem, for there is no such word as 'impossible' in my dictionary.
