Just a bitch, Hi, Why do I keep recieving people whining about my Posts in the Lounge. I respect that people disagree with my opinions or think I'm talking twaddle. Fine. But why not say so on the public message board area, why send me private messages saying my posts are shit. Huh, to me these private messages are from real wimps. Do you get them or don't you talk twaddle much, most of us do. I have noticed a stack of yanks don't "get" either English or Australian humor, hence these posts come from Yanks who have no cultural acceptance of other humor forms. One thing I like about John Simmons is if I or someone else talks shit he says so. And he has an arrogant demeanour, he doesn't go posting private messages. I could publish these limp wristed private message posters but I won't, if I ever meet one I'll king hit the bastards to smithereens, for being such a limp wristed wankers. Comedians such as Robin Williams, Seinfeld, Ronald Atkinson, Benny Hill and others have made the transatlantic leap, but most comedians haven't. It's funny the private posts I have recieved have all come from low posters at CP not regulars. Sure Australians and New Zealanders have a far thicker skin when it comes to humour than other cultures. However I'm sure I'm just like you when I/we try to understand and tolerate other cultures. It was sad to see Nish get abused the other day (I believe he took it as abuse) for posting what he sincerly believed was a funny comment. I admit I don't get his humor 100% of the time but I certainly respect his right to enjoy that said humour. No matter what you ask people to do (don't send anonymous private emails, don't post programming questions in the forum, don't run with scissors) they will never do as you want - so instead of trying to suggest a solution to a problem that can't be helped I was trying to offer a solution to stopping the problem at it's root. Hm... Just an idea, You could be right George, however the messages come through the codeproject send private function. I've removed it now anyhow. I'm not against folk sending to me privatly questions or chat etc, but if you want to bitch and complain about another CPer do it publiclly. So you yourself can be brought up for ridicule. I have responded personally and abusively to idiots at times and have never received a email from them. The few I have received were in response to non abusive posts and the author always had something constructive to say. Also seemed to be to a thread I most likely would not see the reply if it wasn't emailed to me. So don't bother taking the email out of the signature it won't help, they'll get it from your Code Project details.
