It is easy to access the dc of a radiobutton / checkbutton - Via onctlcolour() / WM_CTLCOLORSTATIC. However who can tell me how to override the default drawing of the WHITE CIRCLE / SQUARE and its CHECK / TICK ONLY. Where the hell is it drawn and how? I want to be able to change the colour of the dot in the radio button or tick in a checkbox while leaving the rest of its processing as default. I know how I could implement this with an owner draw class and bitmaps, but I cant find ANY information as to how the default drawing occurs. Where is it hidden? Does ANYBODY know  "Life begins at 140"

Those weren't made to be customizable (well, pre-XP at least). The button part is drawn by the common controls library. In XP it's handled by the visual styles ("themes") system. --Mike-- http://home.inreach.com/mdunn/ While I can't be correct on all matters, I can make the reassuring claim that where I am inaccurate, I am at least definitively inaccurate. your :bob: with :vegemite: and  Sonork - 100.10414 AcidHelm
