    Is you debit card covered by one of the major card schemes (i.e. Visa or Mastercard)? If you have a genuine case to have a charge reversed under the scheme rules then it should not matter if it is a credit card, debit card, or even a charge card.

    It is mastercard. I really thought I would be able to have it reversed as well, but I called the 1-888-7DAYBANK(BankAtlantic) posted on the back of my card and they feel otherwise. The rep. told me there was a difference in criteria between credit and debit card reversals and the only thing he could offer was to fax me a fraud form, which I would sign and fax back to declare it was an unauthorized charge. The merchant than would have 7 days to respond to the allegation, and if the merchant could not satisfy the bank my money would be returned. I told him I could not sign based on that criteria. He told me I had to take it up with the merchant. Do you think I could get results contacting anyone else such as a mastercard representative outside of my bank? I speak in a little known dialect of English called Josh. It is the spoken language of all people governed by the sovereign entity known as Josh. Please do not try to correct it, as I speak perfect Josh. Legalize Marijuana

      Well a couple of other things you can consider: How far are you from an airport or a US Air office? I have found that a telephone call to an airline will never accomplish anything "special", because they just go to a call center where you will get a standard negative response or a standard it-will-cost-you-an-arm-and-a-leg response. But at least some times you can get a lot further with a real ticket agent. Just explain what happened and appeal to them to see if they can do anything, and they may very well take care of it, if they can. I've had pretty good luck on several occasions with the face-to-face approach. (My charming personality and dashing good looks, no doubt, LOL) It does not hurt to try. If nothing else, start a website www.thegnomecanroamonmybone.com and let people blog about similar beefs. It won't accomplish anything but it may make you feel better, LOL.

          I've never dealt with or used a Mastercard before, but all of my debit cards are Visas and on the very rare occasion I have needed to have a charge reversed because I wasn't able to resolve something through a merchant then all it took was a phone call to my bank, twenty minutes on hold and it was done.                 The nonstop airfare I purchased to amsterdam has been turned into a 1 stop flight without my approval. Now I have been on and off holding for over an hour while fighting with reps & supervisors who are able to provide me plenty of excuses, but no compensation for their error. I will let you all know if anything changes. I am still battling but it appears as though they have nothing to say for this other than sorry which to me is not satisfactory.                   Threaten them wit a call to a comsumers program (Watchdog in the UK), this has worked wonders for me in the past and I never had to make the call :cool: The tigress is here :-D

                    US airways switched the flight, but us airways claim they updated travelocity with change in the flight information before my reservation was made so that will not help me. travelocity acknowledges booking me on a flight that was nonstop but it is now 1 stop. I requested full refund so that I could just purchase a new ticket elsewhere but they will only offer airline credit and us airways has no nonstop on the dates I booked so it will be useless to me. No upgrades, no refund, no nonstop. Its miserable. 2 days so far, still awaiting my reply from their email support. I speak in a little known dialect of English called Josh.
