In search of a professional user interface
-
Hi, I started this thread to try to get an opinion about the available user interface out there. Mainly, Prof-UIS from FOSS, Extreme Toolkit from Codejock and The Ultimate Toolbox which is advertised and available to buy on this site. I need to enhance two commercial MFC applications and was looking for a good library that will help me produce a professional looking interface with docking windows. The 3 librairies mentionned above all seems to do pretty much the same thing so I need some feedback, opinions from developers that have used any of those or have read and looked at samples/demos. Which product would you go for ? My priority need is to get docking windows. I have been using the very helpfull CSizingControlbar from Cristi Posea, but it lacks some features like docking context and tear off tabs which makes it difficult to use for some users. I could probably try to implement it myself based on some other articles and code samples available on this site, but by the time I get it to work, it will have cost my company more than the price of one of those UI products. So, if you can give me your opinions on those products or any other products you know that can do a very good job with docking windows, docking context and tear off panes, I will be very gratefull as you all know, when it comes to a new version of your product, it's never soon enough for the boss. thanks, Louis.
