    I hear a lot about "managed resources" versus "unmanaged resources"...for example, as it relates to implementing the disposal method pattern. What's the difference between the two?

      A managed resource is something that the garbage collector can remove without affecting other systems. Like an array of strings. An unmanaged resource is something that the garbage collector can not control. Like a database connection. --- b { font-weight: normal; }
